It featured some interesting happenings as one university, Federal University of Transport Daura entered the competition for the first time sending the inaugural players of the University’s first and newly formed basketball team to represent the school in the competition. It showed eagerness to adopt the structure of the BB4P NUBA Tournament and open the players to the world of opportunity available in the Basketball Community. It is a marker of the expanding reach of the NUBA Games.

The games were fast paced in typical 3-Aside Fashion where matches lasted ten minutes on rotation. The scoreboard and Scoresheet were manned by Coach Kobe and Coach Emma.

There were no statistics taken on individual players as this was a fast paced 3-Aside matchup.

The team’s accommodations were subsidized by Chief Felix Akiga.
The guests included Mamman Kontagora Adamu, The Chairman of ABU Alumni Worldwide, Dr Omeiza, The Present Acting Director of Sports ABU, Professor Adamu Ahmad, the Vice Chancellor of ABU and the Technical Advisor and Representative of NUGA, Yakasai.

All teams and players were issued certificates of their participation and Bayero University Kano went home with the trophy.

All in all, it was a memorable event and successful third edition hosted by ABU and it is our expectation and hope that the next edition will be hosted by one of the visiting universities in May in order to maintain the structure and integrity of the game.

We appreciate everyone who has participated. Thank you!

PEACE O!
